Farm Animal Services

Estcourt House Veterinary Surgeons has been serving the farming community around Devizes since 1897. We offer a comprehensive and friendly veterinary service to all sizes of farms from large dairy, beef and pig units to our smallholders, alpaca keepers and pet farm animals. We aim to offer the best of veterinary care combined with our commitment to work in partnership with our farm clients to achieve the best welfare and productivity from their livestock. We are a Tier 2 Farm Animal Practice – inspected and accredited by the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons.

Routine fertility visits

Routine fertility visits (monthly, fortnightly or weekly) can be performed at competitive rates.

Ultrasound scanning for pregnancy

Pre-movement TB testing

Drug sales

We are part of the St. Francis Veterinary Buying Group and aim to offer competitive prices on our farm animal veterinary drugs. We have daily delivery of drugs and aim to provide any pharmaceutical product within 24 hours.

Emergency service

We provide a 24-hour emergency service 365 days of the year – a nurse is always available to take your call.

Advisory visits

We can visit and give advice on all manner of health and welfare issues – such as Mastitis, Fertility management and calf health.

Blood tests

Our in-house laboratory can perform a large animal blood profile with same day results. We also work closely with the Vale Veterinary Group to provide mastitis testing and the Veterinary Laboratories Agency for all other laboratory services.

Farmer Communication

We aim to keep good lines of communication with our farming clients through our regular Farmers’ newsletter and also Farmers’ meetings.

External Services

We work closely with experts in related disciplines such as the staff at the Veterinary Laboratories Agency and DEFRA when required.

EQUINE SERVICES

We provide a general equine service to our clients and also have excellent working relationships with several Equine Referral practices and will where necessary arrange referral to a suitable specialist.
